GASP Resources Website
Currently, I am a member of the USC GASP Career Readiness Committee.
This semester, we are launching a GASP Resources Website to provide USC Ph.D students with resources related to career development, such as summer funding, career choices, fellowships and grants.
Why?
Starting a GASP (Graduate Association for Students in Psychology) Resources Website is an important initiative to address the lack of accessibility to career and funding information for PhD students at USC. As a PhD student, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate the career landscape without adequate resources and support. By creating a website that provides a centralized source of information on career development and funding resources, we can help bridge the gap and provide PhD students with the resources they need to succeed in their professional pursuits.
How?
To begin, my team and I collaborated to gather valuable career resources through the use of questionnaires and interviews with professionals in the field. This allowed us to gain insight into how these individuals shaped their career paths, and we were able to collect a diverse range of responses from our interviews and surveys.

However, due to the variety of information that we gathered, it was challenging to organize and compile the data in a way that would not lose any valuable insights. To address this, we created four subcategories, including summer funding, fellowships and grants, career paths, coursework recommendations, and statistics. These subcategories allowed us to sort and summarize the data by relevant topics and areas of interest.

After organizing the data into subcategories, we created tables to present the information in a straightforward and easily understandable format.
